Mastercard'Priceless' Interactive Ordering Platform For The BRIT Awards 2018

Mastercard wanted to introduce interactivity and self-service as a new channel of brand communication for the BRIT Awards 2018, ultimately to increase the quality and speed of service, enhance the guest experience and improve operations for their private VIP after party at the O₂ Indigo Bar and Lounge.

As a pioneer in cashless payment technology, Mastercard teamed up with Enlighton to build the first digital ordering bar in the world to accept contactless payments through Mastercard wearable bracelets. The Enlighton platform:

  • Enhanced the payment and loyalty experience by allowing guests to instantly order through our smart table and pay with their wristband for the chance to win a surprise: Priceless. 
  • Presented over 100 food and drink items through an immersive multi-touch menu for quick ordering 
  • Gathered real-time data on product performance and customer engagement

2018 UEFA Champions League Final

Mastercard wanted to activate a special connected experience in the Champions League Village that is aligned with the brand’s innovative vision to create a world beyond cash. A single badge needed to facilitate access control, process transactions for all on-site shopping and unlock a digital ordering experience for all of the guests.

Mastercard partnered with Enlighton to develop the Adidas digital storefront, and all guests had to do was tap their badges on the table to shop and play a game for the chance to win autographed prizes. Inventory updates were processed and guests were able to check their available balance in real-time throughout the event.
